Encountering God as We Journey with our Youth
Youth Event - Amazing Race....thank you for your prayers and support!
Thank you to the people of the Diocese who held us in prayer for "Ignite your Faith Journey...the Amazing Race" and to those who were able to join us April 14 at Our Lady of Fatima.
It was a great day and we had over 100 happy youth enjoying time together! Thank you to the host parish, Our Lady of Fatima. Thank you to the CWL Councils and Knights of Columbus who provided financial support and active assistance on the day. Thank you to the Religious Education Coordinators, Catechists, Chaperones, Drivers, Parents, older siblings and spouses who helped in so many ways.
Please continue to join us in prayer that our youth will open their hearts and minds to God's compassionate love. Thank you all so much!

Thank you for your responses to our autumn youth survey!
All responses are being reviewed and compiled as part of Youth Synod 2018.
Our 2016 Youth Ministry Think Tank at St. Louis Parish, Louisdale brought together youth ministry advocates from across our diocese.
Facilitator Anne Walsh led everyone through exercises of exploration, discovery and planning.
You Give Them Something to Eat is a 70-page text that can be used by dioceses, eparchies, parishes, youth groups and organizations to assist in reflections on youth ministry, to identify strengths and weaknesses in current approaches, and to build an outreach ministry that meets the needs of young people. The publication is available for free download from CCCB publications and includes a preface by Bishop Brian Dunn.
