Lent is a journey of reflection, prayer and deeds
as we remember the sacrifice of Our Lord and await the celebration of his Resurrection.

Parish Lenten Missions 2019

Did You Know ...

that it was historically customary for each parish in the diocese to organize a Mission every four years to reinforce the faith? Typically a visiting priest from a religious order was invited to conduct the retreat. The purpose was to energize the faith community, instruct the laity on church teaching and bring lapsed and irregular Catholics back into the fold. Bishop Brian Dunn has asked parishes to host a Lenten Mission this year in celebration of the 175th anniversary of our diocese.
All are welcome to attend!
