“I have been separated for three years and have been struggling to move on from the guilt and feelings of failure. This weekend has granted me the peace of finally feeling God's love for me."

Retreat centres in our diocese offer respite from a busy, scheduled world. Time at our retreat centres, whether programmed or self-directed, shifts the focus from external to internal, inviting the body to relax, the mind to rest and the heart to be heard.

We invite you to contact our retreat centres to:

  • Learn of upcoming programs
  • Explore options for individual retreats
  • Develop or book a retreat for your group

Spiritual rest or enlightenment, meaningful discussions, or simple peace and quiet: our retreat centres can support your journey in these ways and more.

News from the Bethany Centre
Winter 2018

The Sisters of St. Martha wish to inform the public that as of December 4th, 2017, Bethany Center was officially closed.

"We have wonderful memories of this sacred space and are grateful to the many persons who supported the various programs and retreats over the past forty-five years. We are most grateful to all the dedicated Center Staff who witnessed to Martha Gospel Hospitality these many years.

We recognize that this closure will be a loss not only for us as Sisters of St. Martha but for you who participated in so many ways.

However, closure is not our only news.

We announce that the Martha Ministry of Spirituality will continue to unfold at Marian Community, located on our Bethany Property, beginning January 2018.

We plan to continue to offer Spiritual Direction, Oasis Days, and Centering Prayer experiences. We will also continue to offer opportunities for prayer and retreat at our two hermitages.

These programs and experiences will be hosted at Marian Community and eventually some may take place at our new Bethany Resource Centre soon to be opened on Bethany property.

We welcome you to book for any of these experiences by contacting us via phone (902-863-4726) or Email.

May God continue to guide and bless this Ministry."
