"Today, the Social Doctrine of the Church is a legacy of wisdom, where we find principles for thought, criteria for discernment and judgment, and concrete guidelines for action," Pope Leo XIV wrote in the introduction of this new encyclical. A Celebration of Jubilarians was held during the annual General Assembly of Priests this past week at St. Joseph's, Port Hawkesbury, honouring priests with milestone anniversaries of ordination this year.
