This gift of life lies at the very heart of our mission as disciples and of our shared calling to build a civilization of love. As we observe this World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, we are once again invited to contemplate the gift of life and to cherish the earth that sustains it, for they are tangible ways of offering praise to our Creator.”

invites awareness and action for our common home, honouring integral ecology as a fundamental tenet of our faith.
This weekend is a joint initiative of the diocesan Office of Synodality, Ecology and Outreach and Martha Justice Ministry, Sisters of St. Martha.
We welcome clergy, parishioners, families, and anyone interested in learning of integral ecology and living our faith

is the annual Season of Creation,
an invitation for the Christian family to unite worldwide in prayer and action to protect our common home. This year, the theme for the Season is “Living Water.”
“Swarms of living creatures will live wherever the river flows. There will be large numbers of fish, because this water flows there and makes the salt water fresh; so where the river flows everything will live. [..] Fruit trees of all kinds will grow on both banks of the river. Their leaves will not wither, nor will their fruit fail. Every month they will bear fruit, because the water from the sanctuary flows to them. Their fruit will serve for food and their leaves for healing.” (Ezek 47:9,12)
Ezekiel’s vision reframes water — the most basic element of life — as a divine agent of renewal, justice, and hope, a life-giving force flowing from God’s sanctuary.
